Surreal Cloud Sky Art Print Set of 3

A summit, a staircase to a floating door, stone pillars lost in mist — the same blush-and-lilac cloud sea carries all three, like one surreal journey in three stops.

Caspar David Friedrich's Wanderer above the Sea of Fog (c. 1818) set the template for this kind of view: a lone figure looking out over mist that swallows the whole valley below, the single image that came to define the Romantic idea of the sublime. In 1946, Powell and Pressburger built a real staircase connecting Earth and Heaven for the film A Matter of Life and Death — a twenty-foot-wide, 106-step motorised ramp disguised by a mixed-scale trick to look impossibly vast. And the pillars that seem to float through cloud in the third print echo Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in China, home to more than three thousand quartz-sandstone columns that regularly vanish into fog for a few minutes at a time.

This trio keeps one colour story — blush, lilac, cobalt — constant across a mountain summit, a surreal stairway, and a forest of stone, so they read as one dreamlike journey left to right rather than three separate scenes.

What's included: all three Above the Clouds prints, the same size, ready to hang as a trio. This set saves 20% versus buying the three separately.
